Shabbat dinner gatherings for these Jewish senior citizens is at the Wendy's  fast food restaurant where they say prayers and light candles along with their hamburgers and fries.

Alone but not lonely protagonist, Roberta, finds herself defined by who she is as a woman: vital matriarch of her family, surrounded by love as well as support of her community.



This group of Jewish seniors celebrate Shabbat with the age old ritual of blessing over the Sabbath candlesby breaking challah, lighting candles and raising a glass together.



These seniors many whom are widow or widowers find a community and family experience every Sabbath in their shared practice of Sabbath traditions.
